Lightweight 1-2 Stage Matte Box

The ultimate setup for run-n-gun filmmaking, the Recon Matte Box is available in 3 different base filter setups; the VND, CP, or Chroma VND/PL. The stage 2 clip-in filters attach directly to any of the 3 base filters for complete creative control in achieving desired cinematic looks or ND strength boosters. The Recon Matte Box system also features a removable hood that can be used or removed within various lighting requirements or changes on the move.

Our industry leading VND filter gets an all new Chroma™ glass element with a built-in Polarizer. The polarizer rotates independently from the VND, allowing you to tune from no polarization to full polarization. Additionally, the Chroma™ glass construction gives the captured image an all new hyper-neutral color profile.

Quick Snap Matte Box Hood

The ultra-compact hood and flag can transform Recon into a compact and powerful matte box system. Utilizing a quick-release lever, the hood can be deployed or stowed away instantly.

Seamlessly Add Stage 2 Filters

Quickly combine FX or ND boosters to your base filter with ease, giving you another layer of creative control. Recon's stage 2 filter clip-in design allows for wicked-fast filter swaps without ever worrying about laying a finger on the glass.
